INSIGHT LLC respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. This Policy applies to all visitors to insightllc.com and to all INSIGHT subscribers.

1. Data Controller

INSIGHT LLC, Wyoming, USA is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our subscription services. For EU/UK data subjects, INSIGHT LLC acts as the data controller under the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

  • Contact form: First name, last name, professional email address, organisation name, organisation type, AUM range, and optional message
  • Newsletter subscription: Professional email address
  • Subscription onboarding: Full name, organisation details, billing address, payment information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store card details)

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • IP address and approximate geolocation (country/city level)
  • Browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time on page, referral source
  • Cookie identifiers (see Section 6)

2.3 Data We Do Not Collect

INSIGHT does not collect trading data, portfolio data, or financial account information from clients. INSIGHT has no access to client capital, accounts, or brokerage infrastructure.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

  • Contract performance: Processing necessary to fulfil a subscription agreement
  • Legitimate interests: Analytics, security, fraud prevention, service improvement
  • Consent: Marketing communications and newsletter (you may withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable law, tax, and financial regulation

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To respond to contact form enquiries and arrange briefings
  • To onboard and manage subscription accounts
  • To send the INSIGHT Quarterly newsletter (with consent)
  • To send platform updates, security notices, and billing communications
  • To analyse website usage and improve our content and platform
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

INSIGHT does not sell personal data. We do not allow third parties to use your data for advertising purposes. We may share data with:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) for billing — subject to their own privacy policies
  • Email service providers for transactional and newsletter emails

All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR Article 28.

INSIGHT uses the following categories of cookies:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics (anonymised). Used to understand site usage. Can be disabled.
  • Preferences: Remembering your consent choices. Can be disabled.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.

7. Data Retention

  • Contact form enquiries: 2 years from last contact
  • Subscriber account data: Duration of subscription + 7 years (legal/tax obligations)
  • Newsletter subscribers: Until unsubscription
  • Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
  • Financial records: 7 years (US legal requirement)

8. International Transfers

INSIGHT LLC is based in the USA. If you are located in the EU or UK, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the USA. We ensure such transfers comply with GDPR Chapter V through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

INSIGHT implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures including: HTTPS/TLS encryption on all data transmissions, access controls and authentication for internal systems, regular security reviews, and data minimisation practices. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to industry-standard protections.

11. Children's Privacy

INSIGHT's services are directed exclusively at professional investors and institutional allocators. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email with 30 days' notice. The current version is always available at insightllc.com/privacy.
