About INSIGHT
We believe rigour is the only edge that compounds.
Most systematic strategies fail not because the underlying market phenomenon disappears, but because the strategy was never properly built, tested, or governed in the first place.
Our Philosophy
INSIGHT was founded on a single conviction: that the quantitative investment infrastructure available to large institutions — the research, the software, the governance — should not require a $500,000 per year team to access. The gap between what the best systematic managers do and what the rest of the market can afford has always been wide. We exist to close it.
We do not reinvent market phenomena. We do not speculate. We identify known, statistically validated market behaviours, build rigorous strategies around them, and deliver those strategies to professional managers who can deploy them immediately.
What distinguishes INSIGHT is not the strategies themselves — it is the architecture around them. Every strategy we deliver comes with a complete white paper, a production-grade execution software package, and — most critically — a predefined kill protocol.
We build the exit before we build the entry.
We are a research and technology vendor, not an investment manager. We do not touch your capital. We do not make your allocation decisions. We give you the research, tools and framework to make those decisions with the same rigour that the world's best systematic funds bring to bear.
Our Principles
Six principles that govern every strategy we build.
Principle I
Exploit Known Phenomena
We build on market behaviours that are statistically established and theoretically understood. We do not pursue novelty for its own sake. The best edge is one with a clear reason to persist.
Principle II
Risk Management First
Advanced risk management is our primary competitive advantage. The discipline of defining how much you can lose before you define how much you can gain is not a constraint — it is the strategy itself.
Principle III
No News Trading
We trade only technical, fundamental, or otherwise quantifiable data. News-driven strategies introduce discretionary judgment through the back door. We close that door entirely.
Principle IV
Adaptive Where Possible
Adaptive indicators are preferred over fixed parameters where statistical evidence supports them. Where fixed parameters are used, they are rigorously tested for robustness across market regimes.
Principle V
Statistical Rigour Always
Nothing enters an INSIGHT white paper without surviving rigorous statistical testing. Backtest overfitting is the original sin of quantitative finance. We treat it as such.
Principle VI
Predefined Strategy Governance
Every strategy is deployed with a predefined profile, a documented performance envelope, and an explicit kill protocol. The decision of when to stop is made before the strategy starts.
Work with a team that builds like an institution.
